After a 2017 that saw us collaborate with Tommy Hilfiger and Urban Outfitters at our first pop-up events, add 5 new members to the True Vintage crew and launch our new True Vintage Girls range, we had to kick off 2018 off with a bang. Our video look-book launch party sounded like a good excuse.

Back on an overcast day in November, we teamed up with our friends at Fresh Cut Creative for a day’s shoot across several London locations. We had pulled together dozens of our finest pieces into looks that we felt would end up defining the vintage scene over the coming twelve months. It was a long day shoot and we were well into the early hours when the wrap was called. All the footage was handed over to the boys at Fresh Cut for the post-production edits.

The final edit was well worth the efforts, and we started making plans for our launch party to unveil the new video. We invited a number people who we had the pleasure of working with over the previous year, plus a lucky group of customers through our Instagram competition.

We put on a small pop-up shop on the evening for our guests to browse and shop some of our recent pieces, as well as breaking out some special archive pieces. Often we receive a garment that is just too rare to sell, and these are hoarded in the True Vintage archive. This was also the perfect opportunity to showcase our upcoming True Collective release, with our Biggie, Tupac, Run DMC and Tommy Bear’s all receiving a lot of love.

After the table tennis competitions were out of the way, and a few words from our Creative Director Guy, it was time for the screening.  If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, the full video is at the bottom.

 It was a great night and a huge success. A big thanks to Bounce for helping us throw the party and our friends at Concrete Music for providing the music for the evening. A special mention for all the models Sam, Crystal and Hannah, plus Scott & Andrew from Fresh Cut Creative.
